Finally have a day off. OMG how wonderful. No meetings, no work just nothing. Just sitting around, editing a new video, posting it to You Tube, and watching tv. I'm hoping to get my book read, or mostly read. I'm reading The Blood King by Gail Z Martin. Second in the Chronicles of the Necromancer series. I really really liked the first one. The second is really good.
I'm now sitting around watching other You Tubers. Right now, Hot and Flashy is up next. She's a little older, in her 50s and I love her reviews of makeup for not 20 year olds lol. That's what I kind of hope to be eventually. Someone that people who maybe are not in their 20s with perfect skin but are looking for good foundation, or whatever. I've got a ways to go lol. But I'm having fun, and getting a few more subscribers, and a few more views so its all good.
Work was pretty easy last night. Thank goodness. I needed an easier night of work, esp since this one was a pick up shift. I'm planning on using most of this money on another major purchase of makeup. I've got a couple higher end foundations I want to try out, and then review. I've got a review up I filmed last night and today, and I'm gonna post a link, and do a review of it here.
Here's the link. Lumi Cushion review
Here are my thoughts. I really liked this one. I will be reaching for this foundation again. Yesterday I used the little cushion it came with, but today, I dipped my damp beauty blender in, and liked the way it looked even better. I wore it during an 8 hour pick up shift, and really, it lasted fairly well. Slid off a little off my nose, but then again, I did a little nose rubbing. Its dry and hot in the nursing home, and it makes my nose itchy. Didn't settle into my lines or wrinkles, or my pours much. I am planning another review during a 12 hour shift/15 hour wear time. My main issue, is that there isn't a shade quite light enough. The one I was wearing was about half a shade to dark, then it oxidized a little to about a full shade to dark. I'm sure it will be fine in the late spring/summer when I'm about a shade darker. I wish makeup companies would realize that people range from slightly darker than a piece of paper to as dark as midnight, and make foundations in that range, or really close. This is on the list for potential Holy Grail Foundation for me. I'm going to have to start keeping notes on my foundation reviews, then maybe have a foundation showdown eventually lol.
That's about all I have today. Hope you watch the video and give me a comment on what you would like to see me review next, or what kind of video you would like to see. I'll do my best to do it in the future.
Love the video! I have been using the Lumi Cushion for a couple of months now. I was an original user of Almay Touch Pad, which was very similar to the Lumi Cushion. I LOVED the Touch Pad and then they DISCONTINUED IT. The Lumi is just as good. I love a lighter, thinner foundation and have found the Lumi does not clog pores or look "heavy". I work 9-10 hour shifts in a Clinic and it holds up pretty well.
ReplyDeleteMy only complaint about the Lumi is for some reason the cushion pad started to get an odd odor. Not the makeup itself; just the pad. Not horrible but definitely noticeable when I was putting my makeup on. I actually washed the pad out with soap and water to freshen it up. Not sure what's up with that. Just an FYI. :)
Thanks! The first day I used the cushion that came with it, and today, I used a damp beauty blender, just dabbed it in, and I liked how it looked even better.
