A review of Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation

This is what it looks like. You can get it on Amazon for about $7.00 which is a great price. I found it at my local Wal Mart for about the same price.  No hating cause I shop at Wal Mart. In my neck of Iowa, its WalMart or nothing.   I wish there was a Target close by, but oh well.

Ok, back to my review.  I put it on about 10:30 this morning and after 8 hours of wear, it lasted pretty good. I have normal to combo skin. My nose still gets a little oily as does my chin and forehead, but they are not as bad as my nose.   Its a light medium coverage, but fairly buildable.  I put one layer on my forehead, cause I have bangs and don't need as much coverage there.  I put a full layer on my cheeks, and a light second layer.  I've got some freckles and a little redness I want to cover there.
On my chin and nose, just one layer, then whatever was left over on my beauty blender after my second layer on my cheeks.

I also found that my other makeup applied well over the top.  It didn't move around to much after I set it with a powder.  I pretty much always set my foundations with powder no matter what.  But my concealer, I used Tarte's Shape Tape today, and blush applied well on top of this foundation.

I found that it didn't settle into my fine lines for quite sometime.  Every foundation I have ever tried settles a little, esp in my smile lines,  but I smile A LOT so that's ok.  This foundation didn't settle much, and I'm quite happy with that aspect of it.

It did get just a little worn off around my nose. Not to bad, and some of that may be due to my nose being just a little drippy thanks to allergy season, and I've wiped it a time or two.  So I won't knock it down to much cause I probably wiped it off.

I think this is a nice inexpensive foundation that I will use again.  There are I think 7 shades on Amazon, I wish they had more.  Not much in the way for darker skin people out there.  That needs to change.  The lightest shade was a good fit for me, as I'm quite pale skinned.

All in all, I'd recommend this foundation for most people.  It seems to last for several hours.  I need to wear it on a day I work a 12 hour shift to see how it stands up after 14 hours on my face.  But for the 8+ I had it on today, I'm happy with the way it looks.  So if you have ever thought about trying this out, or you are on the lookout for a new inexpensive foundation, give this a try.
